We have an opening with a well-established organization seeking a detail-oriented professional to support daily financial operations, payroll processing, and administrative functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, and supporting both accounting and employee-related processes.

The Bookkeeper plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting payroll and benefits administration, and assisting with customer billing and account inquiries.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable and assist with accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment tracking
  • Prepare financial and activity reports as needed
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain employee payroll information
  • Support administration of employee benefits and related documentation
  • Monitor and reconcile expenses, vendor payments, and account balances
  • Assist with monthly financial reconciliation and record maintenance
  • Respond to customer billing questions and help resolve account issues
  • Maintain organized financial, employee, and customer records
  • Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree with accounting coursework preferred
  • At least three years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience required
  • At least two years of related administrative or accounting experience required
  • Five years of experience administering compensation or employee benefits programs required
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred but not required
  • Experience with accounts payable, payroll processing, and financial recordkeeping
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office or accounting systems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Comfortable working in an office environment with extended computer use, frequent keyboarding and document handling, and the ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed
