Salary: $130-140K DOE

Our client is seeking a dynamic EHS Manager to take the lead in shaping a safe, healthy, and sustainable future at their plant. If you’re passionate about driving continuous improvement and creating a culture of safety excellence, this is the role for you! You’ll be the go-to expert for all things Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS&S) while ensuring that the plant meets and exceeds all safety standards. Get ready to make a real impact while having fun along the way!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Safety & Health Leadership: You’ll spearhead the development and execution of innovative safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, industrial hygiene, and emergency response protocols. You’ll also oversee the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) to keep things running smoothly.

  • Regulatory Pro: Be the go-to person when it comes to dealing with regulatory bodies like OSHA, FEMA, and local/state regulators. You’ll keep everything in check when it comes to safety and hazardous materials compliance.

  • Investigating Incidents: When things don’t go as planned, you’ll lead the charge in investigating accidents, near-misses, and incidents. You’ll dig deep to uncover root causes and put effective corrective actions in place to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

  • Process Improvement Guru: You’ll be on the lookout for ways to improve plant operations, making things more efficient, reducing costs, and improving product quality. You’ll always be looking for ways to do things better.

  • Safety Training & Communication: You’ll create and deliver engaging training programs, keep safety manuals fresh and relevant, and keep everyone in the loop with important safety updates and performance metrics.

  • Employee Support: You’ll be the go-to person for workers’ compensation and health-related concerns, offering expert advice and support to keep the team safe and healthy.

  • Continuous Improvement: You’ll track and meet annual goals to reduce incidents and associated costs, always aiming for better results. Leading hazard analysis processes like HAZOP, What-If, and 5-Why will be your way of proactively tackling potential risks.

  • Lead the Team: As the chair of the site safety committee, you’ll guide plant safety teams, coach leadership, and build a culture of continuous improvement from the top down.

What you bring to the table:

  •  A strong understanding of regulatory compliance (OSHA, FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation).

  •  Amazing leadership skills and the ability to build a high-performing team while resolving conflicts with ease.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – you’ll be able to talk safety with everyone from the shop floor to senior management.

  •  Proficiency in MS Office and general computer skills – because you like to stay organized.

  • A knack for problem-solving and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience in health and safety management in industrial, manufacturing, or chemical process environments.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience managing teams of varying sizes.

Bonus points for:
