Accounting Manager

We have an opening with a well-established organization seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Manager to lead daily accounting functions and support overall financial performance. This role works closely with executive leadership to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and accountability across accounting operations. The position plays a key role in managing workflows, maintaining financial standards, and supporting team performance across multiple functions.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, including performance management and training
- Implement and enforce accounting processes, policies, and procedures
- Monitor financial data accuracy, coding, and reporting standards
- Track performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure timely bill entry, accurate vendor payments, and strong accounts receivable tracking
- Oversee collections processes and aging reports
- Support process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Manage workload distribution, scheduling, and workflow optimization across the team
- Collaborate with leadership to align accounting operations with company goals
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting operations experience
- At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting functions
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy
- Strong understanding of accounting systems and ERP platforms
- Ability to translate financial policies into effective operational processes
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certification such as CPA preferred but not required
- Ability to work in an office environment with extended computer use
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds
