The Major Gifts Officer will lead efforts to secure significant contributions that sustain and grow programs. The role focuses on cultivating and stewarding donors capable of making major gifts, while supporting long-term strategies such as capital campaigns and planned giving initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors
- Develop and implement strategies to secure substantial gifts
- Build strong relationships with individuals, foundations, and other key stakeholders
- Collaborate on long-term fundraising initiatives, including endowment and planned giving programs
- Track progress, maintain accurate donor records, and provide timely reports
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in major gift fundraising or high-level sales
- Proven track record of securing and managing large gifts or accounts
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Strategic thinker with strong organizational and project management abilities
