Manager of HR Compliance & Employee Relations

The Manager of HR Compliance & Employee Relations ensures HR practices are legally compliant, ethically sound, and operationally effective across all manufacturing sites. This role leads compliance programs, manages employee relations investigations, and promotes fair, consistent practices. Partnering with production leaders, legal counsel, and HR teams, the Manager helps mitigate risk, resolve complex issues, and foster a culture of accountability and trust.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and oversee HR compliance programs aligned with employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, EEO).
- Lead investigations into harassment, discrimination, misconduct, and policy violations, ensuring timely and lawful resolution.
- Create and enforce HR policies tailored to manufacturing environments, ensuring consistency across locations.
- Conduct audits to identify compliance gaps and collaborate with legal and audit teams to address findings.
- Train HR staff and managers on compliance topics, workplace conduct, and documentation standards.
- Advise leadership on sensitive employee issues and compliance risks.
- Maintain confidential records and prepare reports for legal and executive teams.
- Track employment law trends and recommend policy and training updates.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s in HR, Business, Legal Studies, or related field; Master’s or JD preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in HR, including 5+ in compliance and employee relations within manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Certifications: Preferred credentials include PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, or equivalent.
